We had a lovely meal at Fishworks Restaurant. We ordered the fish and chips and the king prawns, and both dishes were fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavour. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, while the king prawns were delicious and cooked just right. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We really enjoyed our visit and would happily return. Highly recommended!
We went tonight on a walk past pop in to see if there was spaces. Raj was an amazing and honest waiter, who checked to see how many portions there was off the specials and communicated with us. He also had as not pushy he understood that we were seeing a show. Time to as limited. We both said we liked to go back to have the full experience. Fish was superbly cooked congratulations to the chef. And Taste was out of this world, we as a family are Great fish eaters. Wish there was one in Chelmsford. Thank you to all staff for making our dinner superb In the price per head we had wine and sparkling water our total bill was £129.50
A lovely restaurant with fantastic service and a lovely, chilled atmosphere, but with some room to improve on portion size. A group of 5 of us sat down for a birthday meal. We had 4 starters, 5 mains and 4 desserts, as well as quite a few drinks. The bread to start was lovely, with the salsa and pesto dips that accompanied them being light and refreshing. Be aware you do pay for it, it isn't complimentary and the menu is clear on that. For our starters, we had the Prawns, Mussels and two portions of scallops. The prawns looked meaty, the mussels were hot and were a great portion size, and the scallops were lovely too. My only gripe about the scallops is the price for only two scallops, when you'd usually expect 3 on a plate. For our mains, we had the cod fish and chips, the grilled seabass, the grilled platter and two surf and turfs. Again, no complaints for the fish and chips or sea bass, with the mixed grill being praised as delightful. Although I enjoyed the lobster and chips part of my meal, the ribeye was slightly fattier than I had hoped. However, it was cooked to perfection, so no fault on the chef's part. For the desserts, we had the chocolate brownie, the pistachio profiterole, the sorbet and the cheeseboard with port. The crackers that come with the cheeseboard were a little "interesting" in flavour, but the cheese itself was nice, as were the rest of the desserts. The staff were kind enough to accept my request to add candles to the profiterole and sang happy birthday with us, which was a nice touch. The service was brilliant throughout with both of our waiters being friendly, helpful and attentive. Overall, FishWorks was a great restaurant with brilliant staff and a lovely atmosphere. It feels bright, airy and easy to have a conversation in. My only recommendations to the owners is to review some portion sizes in future, as well as potentially move to different cut of steak. I'd happily come again!
Visited this little gem of a fish restaurant. Absolutely delicious! Personally I love fresh seared Tuna but it can be hard to find well done and this was possibly the best I’ve tasted in this country. Fishworks is located just a couple of streets over from Covent Garden so close to the theatres and bars which makes it a fantastic location for an evening in London. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively without being too much, its a good date spot, not to quiet and intense theres buzz around but you can have a conversation, dress up dress down, its very flexible. We both had the tuna so I can’t speak for the rest of the menu but all the food coming out looked delicious and our tuna was cooked to perfection. The wine selection was good and it was reasonably priced as well. It’s a place I would go back to.
I visited this seafood restaurant in London and I would happily return. The quality of the fish is excellent, impeccably fresh, well cooked, and presented with real care. Even the desserts were a highlight: refined, well balanced, and the perfect finish to a seafood dinner. There’s a wide variety of dishes on the menu, with plenty of choice whether you’re after timeless classics or something a little more distinctive. The setting is beautiful and memorable, with a unique atmosphere and a strong sense of style. It suits all kinds of guests, yet still feels curated and tasteful rather than generic. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and one I would definitely recommend.
