Grill on The Dock

The Grill on the Dock is one of three establishments situated at the Dickens Inn, which used to be the centre of the Port of London, and is located at St. Katherine's Dock in the east of London. Once a power house to Britain's Industrial Revolution, the Inn and Grill has also played its part in shaping London's culinary revolution; it was renovated and refurbished with lovely rustic timber and opened in 1976, sparking a wave of reclamation throughout East London's dormant and abandoned dockland and industrial areas.
Located on the second floor of the Dickens Inn, the Grill on the Dock is a pretty self-explanatory title for a restaurant. Serving only best cuts and the freshest, most seasonal meats, the specialities of this restaurant include steaks cooked how you like them, including Prime Scottish Rump and Rib Eye, plus North American Bison, chargrilled Tiger Prawns, Scottish Salmon Fillet, a shank of lamb with winter vegetables, roast barbery duck breast and deep fried haddock fillet with mushy peas and chunky chips.
The Grill on the Dock also serves a lovely set or a la carte lunch menu during the week, while Monday night is steak night, with discounted offers on all types of steak. Inside, the restaurant is wonderfully rustic and inviting, while the balcony area overlooks the dock and is perfect for sunny days dining al fresco, or romantic evenings with a loved one.
