Reviews
Henri is a splendid addition to Covent Garden and one of the better places to eat in the area. The menu is thoughtfully put together, the cooking is confident and full of flavour, and the whole experience feels exceptionally well judged. We particularly enjoyed the onion croque monsieur, which was rich, indulgent and packed with flavour. It’s the sort of dish you’ll find yourself thinking about long after you’ve left. It’s the kind of restaurant that manages to feel both polished and relaxed, with dishes that deliver far more than their price point would suggest. Excellent value for money in a part of London where that’s becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Such a nice French restaurant. The service was very nice and everything on the menu was delicious! Highlights: the French onion croque, carrot rapee (so so good!) and the duck fat fries with the mushroom hollandaise. I would skip the crepe suzette. But the madeleine’s… no words, so good!!!
I made a reservation for a birthday, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. We were welcomed so warmly when we arrived, and our server, Shush, was especially attentive and friendly. He took the time to explain the menu and really helped make the whole experience feel special. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was quiet and relaxing — perfect for sitting and talking. We were also surprised with a little cake and candle from our server, which was such a thoughtful touch! Overall, it was a lovely experience and I’d definitely recommend it. (P.S, would absolutely recommend the French Onion Croque!)
The restaurant was almost empty so it was nice, our server was very welcoming and available. The French croque is immaculate and the main reason we went. Also the truffle cordon bleu fantastic. Not 5 stars just because the fries were a bit dry and basic compared to the rest of the food. Nonetheless a place I'd visit again
The steak frites at Henri must be some of the best in the world. Genuinely world class. The team were amazing and accommodating and squeezed us in despite being busy which was fantastic. The vibes are great. Sadly service was slow on the night we visited which could have been down to squeezing us in. We selected a bottle of wine that wasn’t accurately priced on the menu we were given in the restaurant (the online price was correct). So our bill ended up more than expected. But, overall delighted because the food and wine was delicious and the staff were friendly. Would recommend to any steak lover!
