With multiple locations across London, including a central Covent Garden restaurant, Jamie’s Italian is successfully redefining Britain’s notions of Italian food.
The restaurants are buzzy, casual, comfortable and pretence-free, with super-friendly and attentive staff. Huge hams hang from the walls and urban art decorates others.
Antipasti and pasta dishes are ample and affordable, while grills and fish like South Coast fritto misto, osso bucco Milanese and flavourful featherblade steak are a little more expensive, but offer a more generous and accessible alternative to the usual pizza/pasta staples.
Perfect for a casual and buzzy meal with friends; it is popular, however, so be prepared to queue if you happen to go at a particularly busy time.
