Reviews
La Cucina Di Mamma offers a standard menu with Italian dishes along with a few other options. The food and overall experience were okay, but nothing particularly stood out. An average restaurant if you're looking for a casual meal.
Surprising little Italian restaurant that we discovered in theater night… just a minute from County Hall. We had a pizza that was so flavorful. The crust was perfect too! Staff were friendly and I particularly appreciated the very clean and fresh ladies’ room.
This restaurant was a great little find. Expected overpriced middling food as this is in the heart of London right by the Houses of Parliament, the Eye, etc. But no! Food was excellent and all fresh cooked. My wife's salmon salad had great big chunks of salmon, she couldn't eat it all. My spaghetti carbonara similarly large and filling, wonderfully creamy, lots of bacon. Prices, for London, were very reasonable. Staff were friendly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Cucina di Mama has a lovely ambience and the setting is pleasant, especially if you’re looking for an easy, relaxed Italian dinner in the area. Unfortunately, the food itself was fairly average in terms of flavour. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not particularly memorable. Given the prices, I was expecting a noticeably higher standard. In my view, the dishes would feel about right if they were roughly 25% cheaper. It felt as though you’re largely paying for the location. For comparison, some of the pricing is similar to (or even slightly higher than) restaurants around Westminster Bridge, which are in a more premium setting and, in my experience, deliver better quality. Overall, it was okay - perfectly fine if you’re nearby and hungry - but it’s not somewhere I would personally go out of my way to return to.
A wonderful Italian restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and full of authentic Italian flavours. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the pizza had a thin, crispy base just as it should be. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very well looked after without being intrusive. Service was smooth and professional, and the dishes arrived at just the right time. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality Italian food in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. I’ll certainly be coming back.
