Really amazing food - the pork chop renains in my memories (a bit fat + panko type on top so be warned but that definitely worked for me). Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere AND they served fast we had only 45mn before our show start and didn't have to rush *too much". Definitely my go to from now for National Theatre

Our first time at the Lasdun, but it most definitely will not be the last. It felt like a wonderful cocoon within the hustle and bustle of the National and was the perfect setting for a pre-theatre lunch. I'm a temporary wheelchair user, and the staff could not have been more accommodating & helpful; ensuring I was comfortable, seated away from other diners and in as inconspicuous a part of the restaurant as possible, as I often feel rather self-conscious & dislike being 'on display' in these situations. I had made this request during my online booking, but sadly in my experience there isn't always follow-through on the notes one makes during this process, so all credit to the Lasdun for this aspect of service too. We loved the ambience; mid-century styling and attention to detail, which matches perfectly with the Brutalist architecture of the building. The food was superb and their cocktail menu is fabulous (I had one of the BEST champagne cocktails I think I've ever tasted) which made for the most incredible experience in a beautiful setting. Next time I won't wait until I have theatre tickets!

Warm greeting for a birthday dinner for six, the bays for the tables are perfect for an around the dinner conversation. Such excellent food for a pre-theatre dinner - not too heavy, fresh flavours and good choices. The vegetarian choices were particularly excellent! Peas, lovage and curd cheese and the fennel tart were delicious. The soft slow cooked have melted in your mouth. We are not alcohol drinkers and there was a good choice of drinks including some imaginative ones. The restaurant is cosy and has low lighting but it is also a great place to be before the curtain call.

Stylish restaurant inside the National Theatre, accessible without theatre tickets. Good quality, fine food, but servings can be small, and then expensive. Pies are a speciality, and very good.

An enjoyable early evening dinner at Lasdun at the National Theatre. Some fantastic modern British food, great produce, well cooked. Loved the chicken and mushroom pie. Service was friendly and informative. The brutalist dining room was super cool too. So well lit. Three courses for £38. Bargain.
