Maroush
London
This Lebanese restaurant first opened on Edgware Road 31 years ago. It is the creation of Marouf Abouzaki, who moved to England from Lebanon, and has since built his own mini restaurant empire across London.
Maroush serves traditional Lebanese dishes and promotes the sharing philosophy common of the cuisine. Rather than the traditional meal, it takes a more Mediterranean approach and serves up smaller dishes such as tabbouleh, hommos, baba ghanouj, falafel, mezze platters and pastries. There are, however, a whole selection of main courses, fish dishes and salads also on offer. Click to see the full a la carte menu. The restaurant also offers a delivery service if you wish to order take away.
There are now 16 branches of Maroush scattered across London. The original Edgware Road restaurant is spread across two floors and frequently has live Lebanese music and belly-dancing performances in the evenings.
