Metzi Bar

The cuisine is a true testament to Mauritian life, while the summery décor - complete with paradise beach vistas that while draw in the average daydreamer - combines with the friendly staff and tropical music to create something both unique and instantly familiar to fans of Elvis Presley 'movies'.

Metzi is located in London's SW16 on London Road, Norbury which, while boasting a total of Zero beaches and very few sunny days, does have a tube station nearby, making the restaurant easily accessible and popular with locals and visitors to the region alike. An evening at the Mauritius Bar and Restaurant is one filled with fun, sega, soca, reggae, R n' B and calypso music and dancing, making it an ideal choice for office parties, birthdays, social get-togethers and romantic evening meals for couples.

In between the partying, the dancing and the awkward silences that greet a wandering eye caught falling on the toned stomachs of the dancers by a loved one, there is some great food to be had at the Metzi Bar. Starters include crab and avocado salad, spicy chicken wings and croquettes de crevettes. For mains, diners are encouraged to sample the lovely mine frit poulet, the seafood thermidor, the chargrilled whole seabass, the chicken and mango curry and the surf and turf steak. All dishes are reasonably priced, lovingly presented, deliciously tasty and derived from only the finest and freshest ingredients available. The bar serves gorgeous cocktails, beers and spirits, and is open until late Monday to Saturday.
