Petrus - Gordon Ramsay
London
Exclusivity, charm and grace are the sorts of words you could describe Petrus with. Indeed, these are all reflected in its grandiose colour-scheme of deep crimsons and enticing silvers.
Based in Knightsbridge, an ultra-expensive area of London full of upmarket retail stores, Petrus has been lavishly adorned with blooming flower bouquets, heavy-looking crimson drapes to match the furniture and walls of the same colour. Blended together with creams, silvers and coppers, the atmosphere and gentle lighting in Petrus allows for calm, comfortable eating. All the action revolves around a glass central circular wine cellar whose contents are all visible.
You'll find all you'd expect from a high-end London restaurant. A range of quality spread across the entire menu from pan-fried pollock; highland venison; roasted lobster, to the creamiest, most chocolaty desserts. All this is expertly prepared by a highly-qualified head chef. As you'd probably expect, the wine list is as sparkling as some of the wines themselves. Champagnes, reds, whites and rosés are all in abundance and won't fail in highly complimenting a dish.
