Reviews
Very good lunch experience. We've ordered one fish & chips with a spaghetti. The fish is not salty and flavorful. The spaghetti is also seasoned well. Overall, a good place to go after visiting V&A museum.
The different foods we ate here were great. The service was relatively quick, despite peak hours we were served quite well. We ate fish and chips and mixed lamb grill, they were both great. The place has three main areas with seats, inside, outside and in the basement. We sat in the basement which was not that great as would have been like in the main internal area, but as the food was okay we didn't mind it. The only thing was that the tables were a bit sticky, probably because some old or outdated lacquer on the wood, but other than that we liked it. After the meal we were guests of the house for coffee and cappuccino, and the coffee beans they used were great. All in all, after visiting the Natural History Museum this is a good place to rest and eat 👍
Food was 100% and restaurant is muslim owned. Fish and chips was good. We had it with mashy potato. The calamari rings was soft and light not chewy. Owner was amazing. Friendly, welcoming and even gave us free tea or coffee
We have our early dinner after completion of our visit to Natural History Museum, just a walking distance near the tube / subway. Very friendly and helpful staff, the manager on duty is very kind person and they served halal food (with halal logo outside the restaurant), delicious lamb chops and fish & chip, hopefully they can add extra fries portion on their foods as we did not have enough of them 😊
South Kingston Kitchen truly exceeded my expectations. The menu offers a great variety—from perfectly seasoned kofta to juicy burgers and classic fish and chips—and every dish was executed with impressive quality. You can immediately taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite, which makes a real difference. The kofta was rich and flavorful, the burger was tender and satisfying, and the fish and chips were crisp, light, and beautifully cooked. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed both the food and the experience. It’s a place that delivers on taste, quality, and consistency. I strongly recommend South Kingston Kitchen to anyone looking for a delicious and reliable dining spot.
