Choose from several fantastically aromatic tea blends accompanied by finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream, and a range of delicate pastries. You can choose between several tea menus including the traditional afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and pastries for £37, the celebration afternoon tea presenting a traditional afternoon tea plus a birthday cake for £48 or the chocolate afternoon tea for £45 including a chocolate brioche sandwich with praline spread, Ritz scones with chocolate indulgence, a selection of chocolate pastries and plain drinking chocolate with vanilla Chantilly.
The Palm Court features breath-taking chandeliers, gilded furniture, large mirrors and rich fabrics. In accordance with the high standards and elegance of the Ritz hotel, gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and a tie in the restaurant. Jeans and sport shoes are not permitted. Whatever you wear, though, make sure you've got deep pockets. The Ritz is certainly a one-off experience for most, and a definite must-do for tourists. We pass this way but once, so treat your mother or a partner to a glitzy day out in one of London's most famous and eloquent hotels.
