Ten Room at Hotel Café Royal
London
You can very easily walk past Hotel Café Royal on Regents Street without ever noticing its understated entrance but once inside you are treated to a building that intertwines its old architecture and history with modern design features wonderfully.
Besides the architecture and décor you will notice the abundance of staff here. Service is not an issue at Hotel Café Royal and throughout our meal at the Ten Room we were treated with whatever we needed with grace and a smile.
The Ten Room offers British informal dining, all-day in the heart of Hotel Café Royal. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served, as well as an additional menu that features an edited selection of favourites available throughout the day into late evening. Overseen by executive chef, Andrew Turner, like the hotel itself the menu marries the traditional with contemporary flavours and styles.
We arrived for dinner and were treated with a 3 course feast, starting with some sea bass ceviche and green pea and truffle Velouté and finishing with selection of mini desserts featuring strawberry. The highlight of the meal however being our main which was the chicken 'Royal', confit leg for 2, carved ceremoniously in front of our table.
We were very impressed with the Ten Room, the extremely high standard of food, combined with the impeccable service made it an enjoyable evening that we would particularly recommend for a smart business dinner that could be taken to either bar of the hotel bars for a few drinks afterward.
