Ukai is honestly one of my favourite spots. Whether it’s for a quick drink, dinner or just a moment to unwind, it always hits the mark. The food is consistently good, especially the beef dishes, and I swear by the Tommy’s Margaritas. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the vibe changes throughout the day depending on what you’re looking for. Some evenings even have a DJ which is a nice touch. A proper all-rounder. Whatever the mood. Honestly
Really enjoyed our visit. The food was delicious. Nice atmosphere and polite staff. A couple of small delays, but they were short of staff, 2 of the waiter/waitress. I think they need more waiting staff. Overall a great experience.
We visited the restaurant on Sunday. It's really lovely inside. However the waitress who served us wasn't overly welcoming and seemed like she didn't really want to be there. The male waiter on the other hand was overly friendly. He kept referring to us as darling and sweetie and was also winking which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Really not appropriate or professional! Our starters were ok and mains were ok (pictures are nicer than the actual taste). Not sure whether we would go back again. May be just for drinks
This place is a favourite in Notting Hill for a good reason. The food and drinks are fantastic (particularly the A4 Wagyu Tataki and the Prawn Tempura, although we had no issues devouring anything else we had). The service was attentive and personable, and the atmosphere was lovely. We love the lighting that they use, which avoids the issues of top down lighting without plunging the whole table into darkness (no phone torches needed)
