It was a great experience in this restaurant. This is my very very first time trying fresh oysters and i decided to go here for famous 1£ oysters. I didn’t have much expectation but it actually tasted better than i thought. We order 40 oysters in total and one fish n chips, which is also nice though i found it quite expensive compare to other place. The restaurant was pretty small but has good vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, would i come back again? Definitely for the oyster yummyyy (I knew about this restaurant from the Oyster girl and this was the first place that come to my mind when i visit London)
Wright brothers never disappoints, we love to come here on a warm summer day! Today we had the £1 a pop oysters along with some prawns and white wine. Great food, great service and will definitely be coming again
Had a fantastic time at the mermaid bar for the £1 a pop oysters. Treated ourselves to some scallops, tiger prawns, and a bavette steak. Lovely staff, dog friendly, the oyster happy hour coincided with the cocktail happy hour. I'd say that it's not 'the best' seafood I've had in my life, but I didn't pay prices that suggested it would be! Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get their oyster fix in. The playlist could do with a bit of work though 😂 didn't feel like it matched the aesthetic of the mermaid bar.
£1 oysters on Saturday, what more could you ask for. Large oysters, good complementary sauce, lemon, Tabasco. Drinks a little on the spenny, as are chips (£6!!), soda bread, croquettes, all good. Crab linguine good but not a big portion. We came for my birthday and they gave me a little birthday truffle dessert which was cute. Atmosphere is nice. Service friendly.
We popped in for a quick lunch while visiting the museums nearby and what a treat it was! The service was warm and friendly and the food was just lovely. If you’re a fan of oysters at all, you’ll love this place. They’re all shucked to order and it’s a great selection from the UK and France. Special tip: make sure you order the Bloody Mary - possibly one of the best I’ve had ever!
