Absolutely loved this place! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The fish and chips were amazing; perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and delicious on the inside. The homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce were also absolutely delicious and complemented the meal perfectly. One of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic fish and chips! The fish was fresh, incredibly crispy, and perfectly done. On top of the amazing food, the staff was exceptionally kind and even offered us complimentary treats. Such a lovely gesture. Highly recommended:)
I came here after seeing it on Instagram. Although I’ve tried eating fish many times before, this is the first time I truly found it delicious. The taste was amazing and it didn’t have any smell at all. I think thanks to them, fish will finally become a part of my life. Thank you so much for that. 🤩😇 The chicken burger was also excellent. Everything was freshly prepared and made to order. It’s a wonderful place and definitely deserves praise😎
I’m giving this place 5* for the fish, service and friendliness as we entered and the genuine interest in our day. The owner made clear that it was a 10 minute wait as all food is cooked fresh. There was nothing in the food display cabinet and we watched and listened to everything being portioned and cooked as we talked about our day. We had a late lunch and ate a large cod and chips which we shared my daughter and I, but I can’t lie I could definitely have eaten more !! The fish which comes from Scotland (I’m old is the best) was absolutely delicious and the batter perfectly crisp and cooked to perfection. Obviously with mushy peas ;) cos if you know you know and vinegar, ketchup and salt to top. I down with my favourite ginger beer from a huge selection of soft drinks. There is seating in the windows high stool style on both sides of the chop and I would saw as it got busier during our visit at least 12 people sit to eat. I would definitely return and highly highly recommend. The prices were very good and well worth trying out. The Dow or and atmosphere made the whole visit worth while. We were also treated to fruit salad and black jacks upon leaving. I’m from Devon originally so my expectations are high when it comes to fish and chips and you certainly didn’t disappoint. Greetings from Munich.
I love this place! Must be the best fish and chips in town! If you ever visit Greenwich, pop in to try some traditional fish and chips. My favourite dish - whitebait, crispy without being greasy, fresh and tasty, generous portion (and they gave me a portion of free chips!). BTW, walked around London and they were the only ones who actually sold whitebait! Freshly cooked to order. I chose to sit in today ( they only have like booth seats and not many so don’t expect to get a seat during the weekends). Love the atmosphere, vintage 50s/60s music really adds to a traditional nostalgic atmosphere. Friendly service, great experience and will keep coming back!
