Directions to Angels & Gypsies
Tapas: the classic Spanish finger food of sliced meats, skewered chunks of chorizo sausage, veggies and glasses of fine traditional red wines. A highly common dish both in its native country, and here in London.
As can be the trend with imported produce, the clarity and deliciousness may be considerably inferior when made anywhere outside its homeland. At Angels & Gypsies however, it's just like you've stepped off a London pavement and into a genuine Spanish establishment.
It's based within Camberwell's little Church Street Hotel and is renowned by locals for its sheer authenticity and quality of food. The meatballs, for example, and the signature Iberico ham, really hit the spot. Be sure to order about four or five different dishes because portions are small, even for tapas standards.
Angels and Gypsies is a real live-saver for Camberwell so no wonder the locals flock to it like moths to a flame. We highly recommend booking in advance for this cool and rustic London tapas bar.
