Cocomaya is a chocolatier and bakery located in various locations across central London. It was founded by two fashion industry experts, Joel and Walid, who discovered they shared a love of fine chocolate and authentic artisan baking. They went into partnership and opened the chocolatier in 2009.
The success of this led them to start their own bakeries, which can now be found in three locations, one on Connaught Street near Marble Arch, and two in Knightsbridge. These offer over 70 kinds of breads and pastries, as well as handmade cakes, sorbets, and seasonal salads. While the chocolate shop showcases a bright and bold interior, the bakeries have a stylish, classy design that reflects the fashion minds of its owners. The inside boasts neutral tones, bleached wood and cool white marble surfaces.
Cocomaya is particularly renowned for its afternoon teas, where you can choose from the bakery's selection of sandwiches, cakes and teas, as well as a small teaser of the offerings in the chocolate shop. Nut, dairy and wheat free items are available. Many of Cocomaya’s products are also available for purchase, but expect to pay fairly steep prices because these are quality, handmade products.
