The El Pirata Detapas is located on Westbourne Grove and is the little sister of the El Pirata in Mayfair which was established more than a decade ago. Following its sister's lead, the El Pirata Detapas offers traditional Spanish cuisine in a modern and stylish environment.
The menu of the restaurant presents everything from traditional and contemporary tapas dishes to hearty and well-prepared à la carte meals. All dishes are prepared with attention to detail and with the fines ingredients. Among favourites are grilled lamb cutlet with baby vegetables, pan roasted cod, braised red cabbage and jus and seafood paella for two. The dessert menu includes rich variants like chocolate mousse and saffron toffee and a selection of Spanish cheese platter. All dishes are mouth-watering presented and reasonably priced. The complementary wine menu lists a selection of the finest Spanish wines from a nice house wine to more expensive samples.
The interior is classically equipped with a brown wooden floor, black leather chairs and soft lighting. This enables the restaurant to be the ideal venue for any occasion. Whether for a business meeting, a romantic dinner or a celebration, the menu, the dining room and the friendly and attentive waiting staff are suitable. See for yourself from Monday to Friday 12:00 - 15:00 and 18:00 - 23:00 hrs and on the weekend from 12:00 - 23:00 hrs.
