Fish!
London
Apart from the side orders and dessert menus (thankfully) everything else has fish in it. However, rib-eye steak, grilled chicken and a vegetarian dish of the day are available on request. Meanwhile, when you look at the menu, you can't help but notice the spiny column down the middle. It lists all the major fishes available to you - salmon, plaice, Icelandic cod, tuna, red snapper, squid, halibut and sea bream to name, well, most of them - and your choice can either be grilled or steamed; it's up to you.
Elsewhere, there are other mains in the forms of, for example, a swordfish club sandwich about as big as a rugby ball; the magnificent tuna burger with chips with crispy exteriors with the smoothest of insides. Failing all this, you can simply opt for the most classical of classic British dishes: cod and chips. Definitely try the mushy peas; they blow all other competition out of the water.
Located in the chaotic Borough Market, London's heaven for food imports and purchases, Fish! is great for tourists and groups of friends to visit. The atmosphere inside is as vibrant as the external surroundings so, if you're after a quiet conversation but equally sensational fish dishes, head into the neighbouring fish and chip shop. It offers heavily discounted prices to its live'n'kicking restaurant counter-part with hulking portions at £6 or £7 each.
Opening times: Tuesday & Wednesdays - 12:00 - 15:00, Thursday: 12:00 - 18:00, Friday - 11:00 - 20:00, Saturday - 11:00 - 18:00
