An acronym for Modern American Steak House, Mash is a restaurant dedicated to producing the best steaks in town. Having originated in Denmark, it has since expanded overseas and recently opened up its first British branch on Brewer Street, near Piccadilly.
When Mash opened its first restaurant in Copenhagen, it aimed to reinvent the American steakhouse tradition, while simultaneously offering an alternative to trends such as Nordic cuisine that were dominating the Danish restaurant scene at the time. Due to rapid success, the brand decided to export its philosophy to London, and now serves as one of London’s top steakhouses.
When you step inside this trendy eating hotspot you’ll be greeted by its trademark décor consisting of large red leather sofas and walls adorned with mirrors. On the menu you’ll find all sorts of steak cuts as well as grilled fish, lobster and chicken. Also housed within the steakhouse is a bar offering its own menu for those wishing to grab quick bites, as well as a cocktail menu featuring the Mash signature Margarita. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive wine collection so be sure to select one that perfectly complements the flavours of your chosen dish.
