Reviews
The Drawing Room at The OWO is undeniably stunning — the interior alone makes it worth a visit. Elegant, refined, and beautifully restored, it feels both grand and welcoming, with a calm atmosphere that’s perfect for afternoon tea or a relaxed drink. The food was decent but didn’t quite match the wow-factor of the surroundings — enjoyable, though not especially memorable. Front-of-house staff were warm, polished, and made a lovely first impression. However, the table service was uneven; while friendly, the wait staff seemed under-trained, with small lapses in attentiveness and coordination that took away from an otherwise luxurious experience. With a bit more refinement in service, this could easily be one of London’s standout destinations.
I took my mother here as a surprise for afternoon tea. She has been to London plenty but never taken herself or been taken to afternoon tea. I thought this would be the perfect place to go for her first time and I couldn’t have been more right. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the lovely host, it was a relaxed and refined experience. We were shown to our table and met with champagne from Olivia who was lovely and checked in periodically to make sure everything was going well. Our server was exceptional, Karina was incredibly knowledgable and explained all of the elements perfectly without feeling like too much. She was instrumental in helping us select our teas and guiding us through the experience. There is not enough space to say how amazing the entire experience was, on Karina’s recommendation we will be back at Christmas to try the tea again!
