What I had: Lucky Saint Unfiltered NA - £5.50 Crispy Ox Cheek w/Anchovy Mayo - £9.50 Beef Brisket w/Mustard Barbecue - £18.50 Charred Greens, Tahini, Pomegranate, Peanut - £7.50 I was seated without a reservation (is that rare in London?). My server promptly let me know I should try the brisket and recommended crispy ox cheek, too. I should have stopped there while I was ahead, but I also ordered an AF/NA drink and a plate of greens. I was so full. Hands down that beef brisket is the best in London, and the mustard barbecue sauce is unmatched. I should have bought a bottle to bring back home. The crispy ox cheek and anchovy mayo was so perfectly crisp and salted so well.
We found this fabulous restaurant online today (Saturday) whilst visiting London. We understandably couldn't book online last minute as it was a weekend but I read online they do walk-ins. We did just that and got a table straight away. The food looked fabulous and our server Anna Maria was so lovely and gave us her favourites. We asked about portion sizes and she was also helpful with this. We ordered brisket, pulled pork and pork belly. Two fries, mint slaw,the sticky toffee puyamd burnt pineapple was divine,as was the Rum punch. We also had one beer and coke and the bill was £114.63 including service charge. What can I say,the food was amazing (as per all the apparent locals who were sitting by us) Meat's so flavoursome and tender. Service from all stafywe encountered was brilliant and friendly,very accommodating. We shall definitely return on our next visit to London in July. Highly recommend. Thanks foyan amazing experience.
This place is really really good. Texas barbecue in London done well is a rare thing. Beautiful meat, juicy and tender. Yum Hazy beer. Finished off with a perfect sticky date pudding, generous sauce with a beautiful salty finish and vanilla ice cream. A very rare and well deserved 5* from me. Make the effort to visit this place, you will not be disappointed.
A really great restaurant! Cannot recommend enough the burnt end tacos and the pineapple crumble. Also, the chips were actually amazing. Perfect salt level. The actual meats we got, brisket and pulled pork, were good, but missing some flavor. As Americans we’re used to there being more BBQ sauces and things like that to spice it up, and would’ve loved to see that here. However, great menu, great place, would come back!
I had an amazing meal at SMOKESTAK. Every dish we ordered was extremely delicious. The bone marrow, brisket and ribs are must-haves, and the pork belly was fantastic. Don't skip the ox cheek croquettes or the beetroot either! The service was very nice and efficient. It’s a popular spot, so reservations are highly recommended. I would come again here for sure. Can't wait for my next visit.
