Capote y Toros
London
The furnishings are modern but not forgetting the rustic charm that Spain so effortlessly owns. The walls and ceiling - decorated in the ever-recognisable, warm Spanish reds and yellows - are also stacked from the floor up with wine and sherry bottles and barrels.
Contrary to other tapas joints, Capote y Toros focuses on sherry, of which there are around 50 different types ranging from ever-popular names to the more unusual. It's a definite must for any sherry connoisseur or those after something a little different alike.
Onto the food and the quality remains the same with the likes of garlic prawns, spinach-roasted almonds, salmon tartare, baby anchovies, Iberico steak and ox-tail stew all making appearances. The staff at Capote recommend you go for three different choices per head to complete your tapas dish. Doing so will bring you into an approximate price range of £24 - a bargain if ever there was on for this part of the city.
