This Indian café embodies the traditions and heritage of the disappearing cafés of old Bombay. Welcoming people from all walks of life at all times of day in a lively yet casual setting, Dishoom aims to embrace this declining café ethos and introduce them to the people of London.
Since opening in 2010, when it was surrounded by a heat of publicity, Dishoom has become a popular dining spot for young professionals. Serving up a variety of meals at reasonable prices, the café offers delicious breakfasts, speedy lunches, small plates to share, early evening drinks and tasty dinners to enjoy with friends.
Some of the cuisine you can expect here at Dishoom includes biryanis, grills, tikka masala and samosas, while there is also a hint of British gastronomy too. What's more, the bar provides various Bombay-inspired cocktails.
The breakfasts here at Dishoom last from 9am to 11.30am during the week and from 9am to 1pm at the weekend. Pick from a selection of delicious pastries, wholesome goods and omelettes - or try the slightly tweaked English favourite, the Full Bombay.
As Dishoom does not accept reservations, the vibrant café can get extremely busy so expect to be waiting for a table at peak times. However, with its friendly service and stylish décor and all-day menu Dishoom is the place to go for praiseworthy Bombay food.
