The El Metro is a vibrant Spanish restaurant that has been established in 1989. Located on Effie Road, Fulham Broadway, the restaurant provides its guests with authentic Spanish food, a warm and exciting atmosphere and a professional and friendly waiting staff - an excellent dining experience, so to speak.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, El Metro offers a wide selection of traditional Spanish meals. Ranging from paellas over chorizo to omelettes, the El Metro caters for every guest's taste. Signature dishes are the grilled scallops and prawns, topped with hollandaise sauce, chicken pieces in a colourful array of sweet peppers, tomatoes, olives, onions and garlic and grilled aubergine topped with a creamy béchamel sauce and melted cheese. The wine list presents excellent house wines for £2.95 a glass to a nice selection of Spanish and South American wines served by the bottle. Dishes as well as meals are reasonably priced and come in appropriate sizes.
The atmosphere at the El Metro is spirited and warm. Plain light wooden chairs and tables, soft lightning and a beautifully ornamented ceiling evoke a neighbourly feel. A single red candle situated on each table is a nice colourful highlight.
