Lebanese dining is a fantastic experience that will delight first timers and keep you coming back for more. Serving authentic aromatic dishes in a traditional atmosphere comprised of mood-lighting, soft furnishings and friendly staff, a meal at Mazar is something to be enjoyed by the entire family, and is also a perfect setting for a romantic evening meal, a lengthy and lazy lunch and more raucous social get togethers.
Ideal for sharing, the cuisine at Mazar covers all bases. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice, lovers of spicy food have plenty to please them, meat eaters can chow down on an array of sausage and kebab-based dishes, children have their own menu and those on a strict diet will be able to enjoy pretty much everything on the menu, such is the healthy basis of most Lebanese dishes. The waiting staff will suggest the best wines and beverages to accompany your meal, and will also ensure that every diner's whim, need and taste is fully catered for.
Mazar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a dedicated menu offered at each sitting. Breakfast is a more continental affair, with dishes including omelettes and croissants, while also offering some authentic Lebanese tastes too, such as Foul Modamas, which is fava beans and chickpeas in lemon juice and garlic. The magnificent mezze is ideal for both lunch and dinner, and has some exceptional cold and hot dishes, including falafels, hummus with pitta, stuffed vine leaves, grilled aubergines, mousakaa, mixed vegetable skewers, fried minced lamb pastries, lamb and chicken skewers or sheesh kebabs, sujuk sausage and fried potato cubes. Mains are delightful and fantastically filling, with specials including the mixed grill, the kafta entabia and the kastaleta ghanam. To round it all off, a bottle or two of the excellent Lebanese wine should not be missed.
