Maze - Gordon Ramsay

Famous Chefs
Michelin Starred
Sitting proudly in one of London's most exquisite areas, Maze drools with elegant simplicity in both menu and domestic presentation. It offers quickly digestible portions for those on the move, as well as larger meals making for a perfectly romantic place to impress a date.
The furnishings, the work surfaces, the wall decorations all have straight-sided edges just like a real-life hedge maze. You won't get lost in here, though, not with the friendly staff attending your every beck and call. Also because of how brightly lit the place is. Modern, sleek stylish lighting accentuates the partially mirror-tiled walls and light leather seating, while the mirrors themselves enhance the apparent size of the restaurant. The whole place feels open, welcoming, easily navigable, making the name 'Maze' all the more ironic.
It's as simple as the room layout. The menu has one eye aimed at those just passing through, for whom time is of the essence. Light lunches and early suppers such as butternut squash soup; Devon duck breast; pressed chicken foie gras or razor clams can all be served on pristine rectangular china platters with a flash of sauce drizzled artistically over the top. The a la carte menu includes rack of lamb and dumpling of lobster, while the sweet menu offers posh versions of ice-cream and jelly and peanut butter and jam sandwiches. It all sounds basic but the presentation is something the staff clearly value.
