Salaam Namaste is a modern Indian restaurant situated on Millman Street in the centre of London's Bloomsbury district. Salaam Namaste is the traditional Indian welcome phrase and represents the welcoming and warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
The owner of the restaurant Musabbir Karim, better known as Sabir, and his team follow the aim to provide guests with a truly genuine Indian dining experience. The menu ranges from classic Indian recipes to dishes enriched with flavours and specialities from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. All meals are prepared with only the freshest ingredients and are mouth-watering presented. The menu includes dishes such as tandoori king prawn massala, curry leaf and muster sead (vegetarian) and gahi ki gosth bhuna which is bite size beef in a rich Bangladeshi spice and served with tandoori roti. Untypical for Indian restaurants, Salaam Namaste offers a nice wine list including wine from the Old and the New World.
The restaurant's atmosphere is relaxed and informal and always aimed at creating a pleasing and enjoyable meal for the guests. Comfortable black leather chairs are situated around elegantly decorated tables for two and more diners. Tall windows illuminate the restaurant with natural light and provide for an airy and inviting environment. Salaam Namaste is open daily for lunch between 11:45 - 14:30 hrs and dinner from Monday to Saturday 17:30 - 23:30 and on Sunday between 17:30 - 23:00 hrs.
