Vicino
London
Long established restaurant De Cecco in Parsons Green, London changed its name to Vicino in March 2010.
The name Vicino meaning 'neighbour' in Italian, was chosen by the restaurant's loyal and longstanding customers and their input has been greatly considered throughout the entire rebranding process. Originally created by the Piccirilli family in 1987 and under the ownership of a privately owned boutique restaurant group, Vicino was originally named after a well known pasta brand. In 2010 permission for use of the original name was withdrawn and hence the name change to Vicino.
Restaurant manager Dom Perreira is reassuring customers that only the name of the restaurant is changing. He confirmed today that Italian Head chef Paolo and the ever popular and loyal front of house team will be continuing to provide the delicious Italian cuisine and excellent service for which the restaurant is renowned.
Vicino will continue with the existing and ever popular Chef's specials, 'Pasta Night' every Monday, two course set menu priced at just £12.95, and not forgetting the spectacular House Speciality - Spaghetti all'Aragosta - fresh lobster served with spaghetti in chilli, garlic and tomato sauce - bib optional!
Whilst continuing to serve the community of Parsons Green and beyond, Vicino is looking forward to welcoming existing and new customers.
