Big Easy Bar.B.Q & Crabshack - Covent Garden

Reseñas
Arrived on time for a 5:30pm reservation, from that point the entire evening was an exercise in extreme patience. Short version is that we did not receive our food until 6:29pm (timestamped from camera). We did not cause any of the delay, we ordered as soon as our server came. They did not seem to be short staffed, there were a number of staff milling about and there were a lot of empty tables. The drinks were good, the slushi pina coloda had a great flavor. Appetizer calamari was tasty but a very small portion relative to the cost. Ordered the Crab Combo, which when it eventually arrived an hour later had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while. The sauce was separated and as you can see in the picture a dry crust had formed on it over the crab legs. My wife had a ribeye ordered medium rare which came out, again an hour later, at medium well. I suspect it was also the victim of sitting under a heat lamp which resulted in it continuing past medium rare. Overall it made for a very disappointing evening. We had to rush and eat what we could because we had tickets to show afterwards. Even if it was the most amazing food I've ever had (it wasn't), I would still never go back to a place that just left us sitting there for so long.
Great location, brilliant music and a fantastic variety of food. The brisket was awesome tender, decent flavour and sides where a good fit. The atmosphere was lively and the live music was very in theme loved it. I would definitely recommend Big Easy Covent Garden and would happily visit again.
I've always wanted to try a Texas style BBQ, looked around and this one seemed to be popular and authentic. The place had a good atmosphere, though found it a bit hard to read the menu due to the lighting. Ordered my drink and it was lovely and very refreshing. Next I ordered my food and to my surprise, it came out far quicker than I thought it would. I imagine for some, this is heavenly but for me it was a bit too sickly sweet and didn't taste as flavoursome as I thought it would. The service was very good though, they seemed to be well organised despite being busy.
We loved this place. The servers were so kind and the atmosphere was great! They had live music while we were there and we could still talk while they were playing. The food was awesome and very reasonable in price. Large bar, lots of options. Great spot!
Had a lunch at Big Easy Covent Garden and went for their express lunch — turned out to be a really satisfying and indulgent mid-day break. We started with a mix to share: voodoo chicken wings, fried calamari, and stuffed jalapeño peppers. The wings had a nice punch to them, flavourful with a slight kick, while the calamari was crispy and easy to snack on. The jalapeño peppers were a fun one — cheesy, slightly spicy, and gone pretty quickly. For mains, we went all out. The mac & cheese was rich and comforting, proper cheesy goodness. The smokehouse burger was solid — juicy, hearty, and exactly what you’d expect. But the highlight had to be the half lobster deluxe upgrades — sweet, tender lobster that felt like a real treat, especially for a lunch set. Paired everything with some prosecco and thick shakes, which made the whole meal feel a bit more indulgent than your usual lunch. Overall, a great spot if you’re in Covent Garden and want something filling, flavourful, and a little bit indulgent in the middle of the day.
