The pasta was good and with friendly warm service. All our 04 dishes was good. I like the Carbonara silk handkerchiefs pasta with walnut butter ($18) with add on Truffle(£6). Good quality Truffle. It has a unique taste with flavourful walnut butter. A must try dish. Gnocchi tomato straccia also tasty. The Spicy Pork Tagliatelle (£17) was not as good as the rest. It tasted like Bolognaise. The Spaghetti Garlic Chitarra (£10) pasta a little hard in texture. It will be perfect if it is softer. Overall the service was prompt and attentive. The inhouse made pasta definitely deserved the Michelin Guide. A recommended affordable Italian restaurant in London.
This is a good restaurant where they serve good food. Can be crowded during lunch time so it’s good that you make reservations. At first it was quiet but when the crowd came, it started to be noisy but you can still hold a conversation. Food was sumptuous. Portion size is good for 2 people. I felt service can be better. The male servers are more courteous than the females. Ambience is pleasant, good to have a small gathering. You should try this place if you love pasta! 😋
The atmosphere is cosy and modern, with a relaxed Italian vibe that makes you feel comfortable straight away. The fresh pasta was definitely the highlight, rich in flavour, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall the service was good even if a little slow at times during the busy hours. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the food quality makes it worth it.
I've been a loyal customer of Bancone for a while now for good reason! They consistently serve great pasta across all their branches so I was thrilled when the High Street Ken branch conveniently opened nearby. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the customer service is excellent. It's a perfect spot whether you want a quick lunch or a relaxed sit-down dinner with the family! As pictured, the favourite is definitely the silk handkerchiefs with walnut butter and confit egg yolk- highly recommend!
This place was incredible. I went two months ago now when I was traveling in London and I still think about it to this day. Food: 5/5. I can’t even describe just how flavorful and unique the dishes were. The presentation was absolutely beautiful as you can see by the photos. Their famous walnut butter handkerchief pasta was arguably one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, and yes, I have been all over Italy. The texture, flavor, and egg complement each other SO well. The pickled blackberry venison pasta was also incredible. I’ve never had venison nor a pasta like this and it did not disappoint. Genuinely was so blown away by this meal. And to top it off, the desserts were delicious! Highly, highly recommend quite literally everything we got and wish we had time for a second experience here. Service: 5/5. So good. We were running a little late due to public transport issues and when I called to ask, they had no problem pushing our time back despite it being last minute and were understanding (thankfully it wasn’t busy!). The servers were super nice and attentive and overall very welcoming. Atmosphere: 5/5. It has a dark, ambient moody atmosphere that sets the scene for a perfect, fancier night out. Perfect place for talking in an upbeat, relatively loud-ish setting. It’s spacious as well, and definitely not as crowded as their more popular convent garden location. Loved! I cannot recommend this place enough. I tend to view Italian places often as overrated and overpriced, and the flavors generic, but that was definitely not the case here. It was one of the best Italian places I’ve ever tried, and if I ever find myself in London again, I’ll definitely be coming back.
