This was a pre theater reservation so it was early and place was empty. We ordered the 3 course prefixed menu and relaxed with a glass of wine. I started with the watermelon and feta salad which was very good, maybe a bit heavy on the vinegar but overall very good. My husband got the Caesar salad which was delicious. I ate good anchovies as he is not a fan. I then got the fish which was lovely and he got the chicken which was quite tasty. We were also told to order their very famous chips which we did and they were really really good! We finished the meal with some ice cream and chocolate creameux. The dinner was lovely and so was the service. Overall, a great experience!
Coral Pearl in Covent Garden was a great experience. The service was warm, the space feels elegant, and the food was beautifully put together. The layered chips were a standout. I’d go back just for those.
It was a pleasant dining experience, the food was outstandingly good here. Most of the dishes were common recipes with a small twist. The cured rainbow trout was not too salty itself, and paired really well with nduja, I was worried the strong flavors of nduja would overpower the flavors of the fish, but my worries were unnecessary. The beef tartar was hand chopped into small dices, which preserved the texture of the beef perfectly. The cut was lean and soft without tendons. It was a traditional recipe with capers, egg yolk and shoestring fries, yet they removed shallots and added hard cheese on top, which balanced perfectly well for the whole dish. The steak minute was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth, soft and juicy. The croquettes were creamy with some dices of Brie cheese inside, and the crispy layer was coated with honey, which made the dish less heavy and more complex in texture. We were there after the set menu hour yet our waiter was very helpful to get the set menu for one of us, to which we are very grateful.
Very nice service, also very helpful with the choice. We had nice window seats. Starters and mains were amazing, desserts were underwhelming, but it's still worth five stars. About 75GBP per person for starter + main + dessert.
We loved our Sunday roast at Cora Pearl! The staff was absolutely wonderful, and the food was equally as amazing! I had a mocktail and a mocha. Both were great. Our party of 4 had a fantastic time and we really enjoyed our meal! Hopefully we get to visit from Chicago again sometime!
