Dragon Castle
London
Dragon Castle serves a predominantly Cantonese cuisine with a Hong Kong influence. Located on Walworth Road in Elephant and Castle, the restaurant follows its aim of providing an excellent dining experience for families and friends without being obtrusive or overbearing.
The restaurant offers an extensive menu of both traditional and unique dishes. Using only high quality and fresh ingredients, Dragon Castle's cooking is in accordance with the philosophy of the traditional Cantonese cooking. Signature dishes are braised tofu cubes with chilli beans, roasted duck fillet with tangy orange sauce and stir fried king prawns with preserved Szechwan chilli. Several set menus are available recommended for those with little time and groups with more than ten people. Against the old myth that Asian cuisine can only be complemented by light white wine, the restaurant uses traditional cooking techniques and local ingredients when possible that can be complemented by any wine. This is why the wine list of the Dragon Castle is extensive and presents a nice selection of both red and white wine.
The interior of the Dragon Castle is in accordance with the menu; it is traditional, honest and created with passion. The dining room features big windows, carpets and comfortable chairs evoking the impression that you might eat in someone's home. The friendly and attentive waiting staff supports this feeling and invites you to join them for a meal from Monday to Thursday 12:00 - 23:00 hrs, Friday to Saturday 12:00 - 23:30 hrs and on Sunday from 11:30 - 22:30 hrs.
