Papadoms
London
The Papadoms restaurant is a charming Indian restaurant located on Brick Lane. The Chef of the restaurant was awarded the Best Curry Chef of the Year 2006 and prepares authentic Indian cuisine with care. Considering the competition, the award should not be neglected.
The menu consists of genuine Indian meals prepared with only the best ingredients available and with special exotic spices. Papadoms' à la carte menu includes starter platters to share based on the Indian idea that food should be enjoyed sharing it with other people. It further lists a selection of tandoories, bolti specials and vegetarian specials. One signature dish is roopchanda, which is queen fish from the Indian Ocean marinated with lemon juice. Another favourite dish is king prawn mailaai. Both dishes are award winning, but depict only two of the many delicious offers. A variety of drinks is available to complement your meal.
The restaurant is set over two floors with a welcoming and clear ambience. The upstairs dining room is located underneath a slanting roof with wide windows which allows the light to flood the room at day and gives a spectacular view on the starlit sky in the evening. With white and red table decorations, the restaurant is unpretentious and warm. It is open daily from 12:00 - 24:00 hrs.
