One of the finest Japanese restaurants in London, the Sumosan offers a fantastically composed menu in a stylish and contemporary environment. With master minds at work like Executive Chef Bubker Behlit and designer Che-Frantz Jeffrey, the restaurant promises great food served in a luxurious and contemporary interior.
The kitchen team around Bubker Behlit consists of eight Japanese sushi chefs and two Teppan chefs. An excellent combination of Japanese classics and innovative creations, the à la carte menu includes mains such as fillet of beef, lamb and pork with yakiniku sauce, tofu tempura yuzu creamy spicy and spicy somen noodles with lobster and baby asparagus. Obviously, Sumosan offers a wide range of sushi and sashimi including set menus. While the dark and white chocolate fondant does not sound like the most traditional Japanese dessert, the restaurant combines tradition and modernity in desserts such as the green tea cheesecake.
The décor of the Sumosan was designed to allow guests to relax and focus entirely on the delicious meals. Natural materials such as beige oak floors and sleek macassa wood tables can be found all over the restaurant. The waiting staff is friendly and attentive and experienced in both service and Japanese cuisine. The waiters welcome you with a friendly smile from Monday to Friday 12:00 - 14:45 and 18:00 - 23:45 hrs, Saturday from 18:00 - 23:45 hrs and on Sunday from 18:00 - 22:30 hrs.
