Azzurro
London
Avis
Azzurro is a restaurant very conveniently located opposite Waterloo station. You need to step inside the bar/seating area to get to the back where the restaurant is tucked away. Once you arrive the decor is really nice and has a nice Italian feel. We went for lunch. The staff are amazing really hospitable. The food is wonderful and tastes authentic Italian. What I also liked about this particular place is that they don’t impose a service charge on your bill and leave the customer to decide. Thank you xx
Azzurro is a really good option if you are around Waterloo Station or heading to the South Bank. The location is excellent, directly beside the station, but once inside the railway arches the restaurant feels surprisingly spacious and relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and lively without being too noisy. The food is good quality Italian with generous portions, especially the pizzas and pasta dishes. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were reasonable for central London. It works especially well for a pre-theatre meal, casual dinner, or drinks before walking along the Thames. One of the best things about Azzurro is the setting under the arches with outdoor seating nearby. A solid choice around Waterloo with a much nicer interior than the entrance first suggests.
Great looking venue, with a nice atmosphere. Very clean and tidy. Plenty of room. We booked for 5:30 pm and it was quiet, but soon filled up within the next hour. Service was excellent. Nice selection on the menu, with good food. The elderflower mojito mocktail was amazing. We had a tastecard so our starter, mains and dessert was 2 4 1. Will definitely be back.
The food was alright. The staff was great. Very patient. I had a good time.
Arancini was great so was the garlic bread with caramelised onions. Hamburger lacked flavour and the brioche style bun fell apart as they always do. Chips were the frozen kind. Staff are brilliant couldn't ask for better.
