Caffè Concerto on Northumberland Avenue was a great café stop just a short walk from Trafalgar Square. The location is excellent if you’re exploring central London. Many restaurants in the area can be surprisingly expensive, so I appreciated finding a place that offered a comfortable atmosphere without feeling over the top on price. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I spend a lot of time sitting in cafés while traveling, and locations with distinctive interiors always catch my attention. This one definitely stands out from the typical chain coffee shop experience. The interior is one of the highlights. There are beautiful wood-paneled finishes, decorative mirrors, elegant chandeliers, and classic European styling throughout. It feels upscale without being intimidating. The staff was professional, attentive, and pleasant throughout our visit. Kelly ordered coffee along with cream and milk, while I stuck with water. One thing visitors from the United States should know is that bottled water is the standard offering here. That’s not unusual in many parts of Europe, but it can surprise travelers who are accustomed to receiving tap water automatically. Funny enough, while working on the Maui Desire Romance Series, I’ve come to appreciate cafés like this because they naturally encourage people to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere instead of rushing to the next destination. If you’re visiting Trafalgar Square and want a comfortable place to sit for a while, this is an excellent option.
A great Italian style cafe and restaurant with several branches in the city. The y have a wide range of dishes and desserts too. Their spaghetti is fantastic while their diverse range of their desserts cannot be overlooked. From their macarons to cakes and lava cake as well. Staffs are very professional and attentive too. The interior is well decorated and feels warm and welcoming too. Only if they could improve their drinks quality specially their coffees.
The atmosphere is classic, and the food was delicious. We ordered the English breakfast, which costs £16.90 per person. They also have a halal version of it, which includes turkey instead of bacon. Highly recommended! They serve breakfast till 11:30 AM
