If you are looking for one of the best modern Indian dining experiences in Soho, Kricket absolutely delivers on both food and operational efficiency. We arrived promptly at 7:00 PM and were seated immediately at the end of the counter, right next to the passing station. It is a great vantage point to watch the kitchen’s incredible coordination with the front-of-house staff. Our order was taken at 7:05 PM, and the first dish landed on the counter exactly seven minutes later. The service here is exceptionally sharp—water refills were constant, employees were incredibly friendly, and the air conditioning was a welcome relief. Even the counter seating is well-designed, as the stools actually have backs, making it comfortable to sit and linger. Backed by an energetic, upbeat soundtrack, the entire operation runs like a finely tuned machine. Every single sharing plate we ordered was delicious. The pani puri arrived first, offering a bright, acidic bite that perfectly awakened and cleansed the palate. Next, the samphire pakoras were hands down one of the best bites of the night. Gosh, the texture was perfect, and they paired beautifully with a sweet, tangy tamarind chutney that was absolutely delicious. The Keralan fried chicken had a massive crunch factor, with an airy, crispy texture that went nicely with the kick of the spicy mayo. The Recheado butter prawns were very good, incredibly flavorful, beautifully charred, and served in a rich, spiced butter. For comfort, the dal with burnt black garlic had a deep, smoky, complex layer of flavor. To drink, the lime beverage was light and refreshing, cutting through the rich spices perfectly. When we were done, the check was printed and delivered in less than a minute after asking. With super fast food delivery, friendly staff, and great kitchen coordination, Kricket Soho is easily one of the top places to eat in London. Highly recommended.

For more food reviews, check out my Instagram @eathiyah___ (with 3 underscores) We started with the Bhel Puri, Keralan Fried Chicken, and Recheado Butter Prawns. First time trying Bhel Puri and i loved it 😍 It's basically like rice krispies but mixed with herbs, chutneys, and that tangy tamarind drizzle. Very fun to eat! The Keralan Fried Chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside, not dry at all. I could snack on that all dayyy. The Recheado Butter Prawns was SOOO good. The prawns were fat and juicy, and the sauce was buttery and a bit spicy. We were like why does the sauce taste so familiar?? It lowkey reminded us of kuah ayam gulai from restoran Padang HAHAHA we literally kept dipping naan into the leftover sauce bcs no way we’re wasting that 🤪 For curries we had the Grilled Squash, Mangalorean Chicken Gassi, and Claypot Baked Cod. The Grilled Squash was soft and sweet, and when you mix it with the curry sauce + crunchy toppings on top, it’s sooo good. The Chicken Gassi was more thicker and rich. The sauce was very coconutty like a proper comfort curry. The Claypot Baked Cod was spicier. The cod was very soft and soaked up all the sauce nicely ★ Final rating: 4.2/5 ★ No fail dishes, everything were bold, super flavorful, and very satisfying!

A wonderful Indian restaurant with delicious curries and shareable plates. This restaurant is particularly good for solo diners because they have a lot of bar seating. It’s likely you will find a seat if you show up without a reservation alone. I recommend you go with their suggestions! I got a small plate, a curry, and naan. I walked out very full 😄 The small plate was the fried chicken. It’s very popular, but to be honest I wish I got something else. Their other small plates looked delicious, and fried chicken is relatively the same at most places. It didn’t blow me away. The grilled squash curry on the other hand… holy moly it was delicious! And very filling!! I tried to save room for their chocolate mousse dessert, but I was too full 🤤

Caught up with fellow food review friends as one of them was visiting from the USA. Impressed with how they manage to get so many customers into that space and all fed. We were in the basement but had our own table for 7 - the open kitchen is upstairs Again the staff were fantastic on advising us as to how much food to order. With 7 of us, we ordered a lot of the menu. Happily, my friends and I are good enough friends to eat family style - what is it about the English and not sharing food? My favourite dishes were the fried chicken from the started and the beef from the mains. However, all dishes were rapidly and happily consumed No hurry to move us on, so it was a happy place to sit and catch up.

First time at Kricket, went to the Soho branch after it was recommended by a friend. On first entrance, I thought I was in Kiln and had to double check to make sure I was in the right place. Once confirmed, was shown to the reserved table very quickly. Service was fast and the waiter very helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggesting recommendations. There were 5 of us and we had a selection of 4 small plates and 3 main dishes with rice and bread sides, which was plenty for us all. My favourite was the butter prawns and bhel puri. The pani puri was quite disappointing and felt like it needed more filling, as it tasted more like an empty shell. We had the cod, chicken and grilled squash as mains with pulao, nan and parathas. All pleasant tasting but not as amazing as the others thought. But as a person of Asian descent, I am probably a lot more harsher when scoring curries at restaurants. We also had several cocktails. I tried the old fashioned with ghee but unfortunately could not taste or smell any ghee in the drink at all, but generally didn’t taste bad. Overall, a decent place to go for a curry fix with a good selection of menu options and for around £60pp quite dear but you do leave feeling very full and satisfied. A solid 3.8/5.
