Very yum! Getting at seat at the bar was a great experience as you could watch the friendly chef cook all the different dishes in front of you. The ambience was bustling, it made me feel like I was transported to an izakaya hidden in an alleyway in Japan! Now onto the food... Simply put as "delicious"! We ordered the special okonomiyaki and omu yakisoba, the flavours were spot on and not westernized. For dessert, we shared the yuzu cheesecake. It had the perfect tang to it and was not too sweet... Great way to finish things off! Would defs recommend booking a spot if possible as they get super busy.
Amazing little place! Food was great, the decor and atmosphere was just like some of the places I experienced in Japan. Felt cosy, busy and the smells, sights and sounds of the cooking.... So good!
I have never been to Japan but it felt like I was in the centre of the city. The vibe, the look and feel of the place gave me authentic Japan. The food with incredible, very tasteful and fresh. Whilst I haven't been to Japan, my friend has and expressed it was a spitting image of her dining experience. Highly recommend and could drink the elderflower and ginger drink all day everyday!
The best Japanese izakaya in London!!! Such a great atmosphere!!! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and they accommodated all of my allergies. The food is very authentic, and the prices are reasonable. I really loved their green tea as well!! Will definitely be back :)
A pleasant surprise hidden inside an unexpected building. This Japanese street style restaurant will take you straight into Japan narrow streets filled with shops and restaurants. The open kitchen allows you to see how each dish is prepared, plated and served. The menu is handwritten on the walls in various styles and the decor is on point. The items on the menu are simple and well described and the staff would be more than happy to give you recommendations. Must book if you wish to get a spot. The place is quite small and the tables can accommodate up to 4 people each. The entrance is quite hard to find. In google maps shows it inside the main building, and the actual entrance is on the back road. They put out signs to indicate the entrance. Also to notice, the toilets are located in the main building and you’ll need to request a ticket from the restaurant to be able to use them. This is definitely a place I’ll come back to. The atmosphere is really unique and engaging.
