Franco's Restaurant
London
The Franco's restaurant is located on Jermyn Street - the St James's - end and is something of an institution. For more than 60 years, the restaurant has delighted residents and visitors with genuine Italian dishes, strong flavoured coffees and a warm smile from the friendly and attentive waiting staff.
The menu of the Franco's was created to meet the guests' wishes and needs. Dishes are prepared with attention to detail and fresh and fine ingredients only. The à la carte dinner menu includes dishes such as fillet of John Dory with broad beans and celeriac purée; pistachio and mustard crusted rack of lamb with asparagus; and risotto with fresh morel mushrooms. The wine menu presents an extensive list of Italian wines. While a few samples are served by the glass, the wines are usually served by the bottle and range from an excellent house wine to more extravagant choices with prices into the hundreds. The well-informed waiting staff will be happy to recommend a complementary wine to your dish.
Being open from morning to late at night, the restaurant welcomes guests for a long dinner, a quick work lunch, breakfast, but also for a relaxing coffee break. The main dining room is naturally lit thanks to the grand window front, equipped with elegant and sophisticated furniture and held in warm earthly colours. The bar and café area are a little less formal, but mediate the same inviting atmosphere. The venue also features a private dining room ideal for events of any kind. Franco's is open from Monday - Saturday 07.30 - 24:00 hrs. It is closed on Sunday.
