Mangal Ocakbasi

This highly praised restaurant is frequently referred to as London's best Turkish restaurant. Situated in Dalston, East London, it's been serving up traditional ocakbasi - a style of Turkish grill cooking - since its establishment in 1990.

While tourists may be put off by its unassuming façade, the restaurant is no secret among the locals. In true ocakbasi fashion, meats are cooked on the grill in front of you which, added to the vast selection of authentic Turkish dishes on display, will leave you salivating while you await your meal.
