We visited Côté mainly to try their famous crème caramel, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The texture and flavor were quite underwhelming, and it wasn’t anything memorable. We also ordered the raspberry praline tart, which was equally disappointing, fairly average and lacking the richness and depth you’d expect. That said, the experience wasn’t all negative. The restaurant itself was calm and quiet, which made for a pleasant setting, and the service was attentive and professional throughout. Overall, a nice atmosphere with good service, but the desserts didn’t match expectations.
Said was a lovely member of staff, very friendly and delivered great customer service! Food was delicious, steak frites was really good! The atmosphere was delightful and we will be back! would highly recommend!
Table of 2 6:45pm dinner on a Wednesday evening. Came with high hopes and got progressively more disappointed by the min. We came bc of the £20 3 course meal deal and while I understood the price varies by branch, the website was not explicit abt the price of this branch. Took at least 15 min for a waiter to come take our order despite raising our hand up to catch their attention. Clearly they were too understaffed as the waiters were walking around non stop serving different tables. We only saw 3 waiters in total for a 2 floor restaurant which was full. Unacceptable. Was hyped for steak frites which wasn’t even good. The steak was so thin and the fries were over cooked. Creme brûlée claims to be pistachio but didn’t specify that it’s just pistachio sprinkled on top and not pistachio flavoured. Only thing worth complimenting was the complementary bread which was warm and soft. Overall 3/10 would not come again and would not recommend. We even had to remove the service charge bc we did not feel we were taken care of
My partner and I each ordered a 3-course dinner set. They are having a promotion period till 6th Feb so it’s around 20pounds per set. Such a nice deal with excellent quality of food! I enjoy everything on the table, from starter to dessert. Really enjoyable French dinner in London! Just that the waiter who’s responsible for our table was a bit too excited chatting with other customers so the service was a bit slow. But given that we are not in a rush, we have no problem with that😂
The food quality was just average. As a French classic, the onion soup lacked the richness and thickness I was expecting. However, the service was excellent—the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly, which definitely improved the overall experience.
