I had lunch here before the HSBC Championships and this was a phenomenal experience. I have a tree nut allergy and usually get a "safe" dish like chicken tikka masala, but the staff encouraged me to get something more adventurous. It was a great decision! I had the pani puri shots and the chicken makhani, which were so flavorful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for elevated Indian food.
I recently visited Pravaas in South Kensington for lunch and had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was relaxed yet stylish, and it felt like a lovely spot for a weekend catch‑up over good food. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, which was the best way to experience the menu. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and well‑balanced in its spices, so nothing felt too heavy or overpowering. I liked that there was a good mix of classic favourites alongside more modern, creative options. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Staff were happy to talk through the menu and make recommendations, which made it easier to try a few new things with confidence. The food arrived promptly and everything tasted freshly prepared. Overall, lunch at Pravaas was a great experience – tasty food, a nice ambience, and welcoming service. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality lunch spot in South Kensington, especially if you enjoy sharing a selection of dishes with friends.
We did the tasting menu for a long afternoon lunch. The space itself is really cozy, and the service is exceptional. I really enjoyed how thoroughly the waiters explained what we were eating and how attentive they were to any questions we had about the food or anything else. The food itself was a really fun journey. It was not overly complex or over the top, but everything had a great burst of flavour and each dish felt very different from the last. By the end, some of the dishes leaned more traditional Indian, which we really enjoyed.
Superlative: I got the set lunch menu. The dishes were beautifully presented, well thought out, balanced and seasoned beautifully. The service was excellent and each dish set the bar high and was unique in some way. Praavas delivered attention to detail and skill not commonly found. I savored each bite and at the end of the meal felt appreciative and a sense of gratitude for having this experience. Having said that, the Naan was fresh though a little pedestrian, a bit ordinary, I asked for some mint chutney on the side (for the Naan) and the waiter graciously obliged. I have a sense that the mint chutney was made in house as it was very good and elevated the naan to an exemplary experience. Needless to say I highly recommend Praavas and the set menu in particular, it was exceptional.
A delightful and fantastic meal! The menu has exciting flavours and authentic dishes which have been elevated and presented with attention to detail. The exceptional service was friendly and knowledgeable whist being considerate to our dietary needs. It was a wonderful dining experience ...not many photos as we couldn't wait to try the phenomenal food! We had to memorable evening at Pravass and can't wait to return.
