The Shanghai Blues restaurant serves traditional Chinese cuisine paired with authentic Cantonese recipes on High Holborn close to Soho and Convent Garden. The restaurant's aim is to provide diners with a relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying a delightful meal always maintaining a very high standard.
The menu of the Shanghai Blues contains mouth-watering presented dishes such as a variety of deep fried and baked and grilled dim sum dishes, steamed Chilean sea bass with lotus root and Shanghai marinated duck slices plus a wide range of vegetarian dishes. Topping off the menu is definitely the jasmine tea ice cream, one of the wonderful dessert offers. A mature and well refined list of wine and red wines from the Old and the New World to complement dinner can be found in the menu as well. The service is very attentive and eager to please.
The interior of the restaurant is well designed and brings a sophisticated air with it. The dining room is held in darker tones, occasionally off-set by beige coloured columns. Rounded tables allow an intimate gathering even for larger parties as well as smaller cornered tables for two.
Muted light and contemporary designed ceiling lighting set the mood for an extravagant meal. Whether an important business meetings, a relaxing lunch or a romantic dinners, the Shanghai Blues is the perfect venue for any first class occasion. They also play live Jazz on Friday and Saturday.
