Massimo Restaurant & Oyster Bar
London
Deep within the bowels of the Corinthia Hotel, Massimo offers succulent seafood fresh from the fully-stocked shellfish bar. The interior is generously spacious with high-backed sofas doubling up as table dividers - a clever space-saver and a seamless solution to packing in more hungry mouths.
And you'll definitely be hungry after scouring their menu: seabass, monkfish and hake all served with their own helping of spices and accompaniments; the fish stew comprised of lobster, prawns, and gurnard, to name a few; or the Lock Fyne or Irish Rock oysters for something more exotic and refined.
If, however, you're not a fan of a deep-sea dinner, you can always opt for one of the many selections of pasta dishes they have, or a nice, juicy steak if you're craving a hunk of meat. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. And we're not just talking about the taste factor. The prices are reasonable too, especially for such a lavish establishment. An average main course will cost somewhere between £10 and £20 so, combine that with drinks and maybe a dessert, you're only looking at somewhere over £30 a head - a bargain in this neck of the woods.
Opening times: Daily: 12:00 - 23:00, Sunday: closed
